Our mission at SOAR is
to empower intellectually disabled adults to live fulfilling lives.
SOAR is a non-profit corporation chartered in 2016 by the State of Tennessee, established under Section 501 (c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. The agency was founded by a special education professional and devoted parents of an intellectually disabled adult child who identified a need in Blount County for an organization that could adequately address the needs of intellectually and developmentally disabled adults.
The agency was restructured and rebranded SOAR Tennessee in July 2022.
