Our mission at SOAR is
to empower intellectually disabled adults to live fulfilling lives.
SOAR Tennessee is a nonprofit corporation chartered by the State of Tennessee in 2016 and recognized as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The organization was founded by Cheryl Hintz and Nikki Jackson, who shared a vision of creating meaningful opportunities and support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
In July 2022, Cheryl Hintz and Nikki Jackson restructured and rebranded the organization as SOAR Tennessee, reflecting an expanded mission, renewed strategic direction, and commitment to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Tennessee.
Since its inception, SOAR Tennessee has remained dedicated to enhancing the quality of life, promoting independence, and creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to thrive in their communities.
